For general informations on RTnet an Gigabit Ethernet please have a look
at the README.gigabit file in the RTnet 'Documentation' directory.
This is the RTnet driver for NICs based on the Realtek RTL8169(S) chipset.
The following cards should have this chipset:
o Buffalo LGY-PCI-GT (8169S)
o Corega CG-LAPCIGT (8169S)
o D-Link DGE-528T (8169S)
o Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2 Integrated Gigabit Ethernet (8110S)
o LevelOne GNC-0105T (8169S)
o Linksys EG1032v3 (8169S)
o Netgear GA511 PC Card (8169)
o PLANEX COMMUNICATIONS Inc. GN-1200TC (8169S)
o Surecom EP-320G-TX1 (8169S)
o US Robotics USR997902 (8169S)
o Xterasys XN-152 10/100/1000 NIC (8169)
(see <http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=re&arch=macppc&sektion=4>)
This driver was actually only tested with a D-Link DGE-528T; for other NICs
you may have to extend the PCI device id table within the driver.
You can set various debugging levels while loading the module:
DEBUG_RX_SYNC 1 Show received TDMA synchronisation frames
DEBUG_RX_OTHER 2 Show other received packets
DEBUG_TX_SYNC 4 Show sent TDMA synchronisation frames
DEBUG_TX_OTHER 8 Show other sent packets
DEBUG_RUN 16 Show general debugging infos when running...
(The debugging output is in work, DEBUG_RX_* don't work yet).
To see all sent packets (except TDMA sync frames) and general debugging
output, just load the driver like this:
modprobe rt_r8169 debug=24
(DEBUG_TX_OTHER + DEBUG_RUN = 8 + 16 = 24)
More documentation follows... =8-)
